1. Custom printing files Question: For custom printing can I provide a photoshop '.psd' file on CD and specify the exact print size I need? Thanks. Answer: Yes we can work from your photoshop .psd file. You can specify the print size if different from the page size in your file, however you will need to ensure the resolution is sufficient for your required output. 2. Gallery Hanging systems Question: I saw a multi track system at Disney World, that allowed you to layer or overlap paintings in a three layer deep hanging system. there was a track on the floor as well as the ceiling with the cables pulled taught between them. I would like to recreate this space saver in my small gallery. any ideas? Answer: All gallery hanging systems allow for multiple hanging on the dropper lines while keeping the total weight within the requirements of the various droppers and hooks. I would recommend the Artitec Track system as being easy to install and to use, and with a very streamlined or minimalist look. There is also a system available which has a floor rail to lock the dropper lines into, however this option is not essential to achieve the multiple level hangings. Gallery hanging for a 3m wall Question: Hi, would like to ask your prices for a picture hanging system ( I read that you have 2 different brands) for a 3m wide wall to hang approx 20 small pictures. Thanks Penny Cross Answer: Hi Penny, For a 3m wall you will need one length of track, and then the droppers (to hang down the wall from the track) and the hooks (fit onto the droppers, hold your frames in place). I suggest you hang two frames on each dropper, which will require 10 droppers at approx 300mm spacing on your track. 4. Question: Do your outputting devices support 16 bit images? Answer: Yes our printers do print 16 bit images. However, while the printers can handle the 16 bit images, the larger file size is of no advantage as the difference in print quality is not discernable.
5. Velcro receptive fabric Question: Do you sell black vecro receptive fabric or do you know a supplier? We need a quantity for our High School for stage set pieces for a dance performance. Thanking you Answer: We have a large range of velcro receptive fabrics in a variety of colours and fabric types. These are available as cut lengths or full rolls, at 1.4m to 1.8m wide. 6. Picture hanging rail systems Question: My husband and I are looking for a picture hanging system we saw recently that works with a rail at the top of the wall and wires hanging down that can have one or more pictures put on them (saves hooks in the wall). Can you help? 7. Test prints Question: I would like to have a test print done for an exhibition I am designing to check I have everything set up correctly and experiment with some effects I have in mind for this job. Answer: We would be happy to do test prints for you to check resolution, and to confirm or reselect colour options. Every printer and printer workflow can yield different results so it is very wise to do test prints. As standard procedure we will proof every job however doing test prints earlier allows you the opportunity to make adjustments before you have done all the work, much more efficient!
8. New location Question: I heard you moved, where are you located? Answer: We have been operating from our new premises in Fyshwick since June 21 2004. Yes we are the lot from Queanbeyan and we have all the facilities we had before and more! 9. Logo format Question: Logo's: In what format should I supply my logo. Answer: .eps is the best format as these are VECTOR files which can be expanded to print at any size. They are created in a graphics program such as Illustrator. They should have the extension .eps. See the supplying logos page in the design/print section for an explanation.
10. Opening Hours Question: What are your opening hours? Answer: Monday to Friday: 8.30am to 5.30pm. Saturday morning: 9am to 12 midday. Note that we have swapped Thursday night for Saturday morning since moving to Fyshwick.
